Matlock Angling Club controls a number of stillwaters, varied beats of the River Derwent and a length of the Erewash Canal.
Matlock Angling Club has an active match section at both local and national level, all events are open to all Club anglers.

Tansley Pond (AKA The Middle Pond at Lumsdale) The pond can be accessed from the Old Coach
Road. This pond is also a mixed fishery with carp to 10lb and a good shoal of Chub to 4lb. Perch, Tench, roach, bream, skimmers, gudgeon, crucians, rudd are also in the pond. Parking down by the scout hut at the back of the pond. Members only. DE4 5FY
